Bruce Springsteen: The Promise Fulfilled Radio Special


1059 The Rock in conjunction with Columbia Records and Tres Hombres Productions brings you a one-hour special celebrating the release of the new Bruce Springsteen CD: "The Promise" - a collection of 21 previously-unreleased songs from the "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" recording sessions.

“'Darkness’ was my ‘samurai’ record,” Springsteen writes, “stripped to the frame and ready to rumble. But the music that got left behind was substantial.” Host Jody Denberg takes a look back, through interviews and selections from the new CD's, at the album that COULD have been - more than thirty years later.

In addition, a Deluxe Edition contains the original "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" CD, the 2-CD "The Promise" collection and 3 DVD's of unreleased concert performances and "The Making Of Darkness."
