See you on the dark side of the moon. The Solar Eclipse happened yesterday, and all the good views seem to be from Australia.
Your Penumbra is going to be bigger than the Umbra; if not, girls will laugh at you.
The region where there's the total eclipse is the Umbra, between the Moon and the Earth, and the Penumbra is the larger gray area where the partial eclipse is seen.

Go one step further and you get the antumbra: The part where it looks entirely 'contained'.

I think the Sun is 4 times the size of the Moon, but the Moon is 4 times closer to the Earth, which is why we can get the Eclispe. It's all about the angles. That's why guys who play their bass guitar up high look gay.
