The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC.  I took my family on the DC trip, (first time I'd ever been), and one of the most memorable stops was the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

It is guarded 24 hours a day, everyday that God gives us a new day, and to watch the Changing of the Guard is moving.  The greatest respect, reverence, discipline, honor, tribute, and memory of those who have fallen fighting for our country is emotional.

The men you see in yellow in the back ground are mostly World War II Veterans.  They get to come to Washington courtesy of an organization called Honor Flight, and just received a great memorial

WW II Veterans are getting few and far between, and to see these Veterans watch the changing of the guard, and reflect on their own service, gives you a heaping gift of thanks to all who have served.

As Hurricane Sandy pounds the east coast, the 3rd U.S Infantry Regiment of the United States Army is unfazed.
