Rush bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Toronto Blue Jays home opener on April 2nd, as the Jays host the Cleveland Indians.
Lee has been a longtime Blue Jays season ticket holder and baseball fan.
“I would like to see the Blue Jays win the World Series this year,” I don’t want to jinx them by saying they are going to, but I think it’s going to be a fun season. I think there are three or four teams that have a good shot at being in the playoffs: California Angels, Los Angles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and the Toronto Blue Jays have a shot, too.”
Following the Blue Jays event, Geedy and Rush will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on April 18 at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live.
The same week, Rush are nominated for two 2013 Juno Awards in their Canadian homeland.
