Jimi Hendrix: West Coast Seattle Boy Radio Special


1059 The Rock brings in cooperation with Experience Hendrix LLC and Sony Legacy brings you a one-hour special showcasing the recent release of the four CD box set and DVD, "West Coast Seattle Boy - Jimi Hendrix Anthology."

Hosted by Ken Dashow, it features interviews with artists including the late Buddy Miles, Mitch Mitchell, Chas Chandler and Noel Redding, as well as Jon Anderson, Eric Burdon, Jack Casady of the Jefferson Airplane, Eric Clapton, bassist Billy Cox, blues rocker Eric Gales, vocalist Corey Glover of Living Colour, Jimi’s sister Janie Hendrix, Ernie Isley of the Isley Brothers, guitarist Andy Fairweather Low and John McDermott, whose expansive credits in Hendrix lore include co-producing the 2010 Hendrix release “Valleys of Neptune.” Jimi, himself, is also heard from a 1967 interview for Swedish radio that was taped prior to the release of "Are You Experienced."
