Survey Finds Breadwinning Moms May Be Less Happy

Survey Finds Breadwinning Moms May Be Less Happy

A new survey has found that more than 25 percent of married women earn more money than their husbands -- which could be leading to unhappiness in other aspects of life.

The poll, conducted by WorkingMother.com, found that many of those breadwinning mothers aren't in the position by choice. Seventy percent of the male and female respondents said that society still is more comfortable with men being the primary earners in a family. Seventy-two percent of female breadwinners said they never had a conversation about their role, and simply fell into it by chance over time. Twenty-two percent also agree that their husband should be contributing more financially, particularly if there's an uneven division of labor at home as well.

Yes, my wife makes more money than me. How is that possible you ask? Because I WORK IN RADIO!! ;)
